Happy New Year! We are now in 2023 and excited about what God has in store for us. While fasting and praying for direction and instructions for the new year, the Holy Spirit impressed in my spirit what we can expect as we Rise & Release in this new year. Ten months ago, I made a YouTube video called "It's Time To Rise," where I revealed a vision that God gave me about three types of people God will rise. First, some were on the floor and were getting up for the first time. Secondly, some were standing up and learning to walk. Lastly, I saw some walking and learning to run. During my recent fast, I was Awakened by the Holy Spirit as I slept; I saw steps and someone going up. The Holy Spirit said, There is a difference between Moving Forward VS Moving Up. Moving up requires stamina and strength training. He began instructing me to write STEPS and gave me the words required to RISE in 2023.
1. Stretch- In 2023, God will stretch us. This stretching will feel uncomfortable and challenging, but stretching is required to prevent injuries and help us move up quickly. Isaiah 54:1 encourages us to "enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back, lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes, For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities."
2. Trust- God wants us to trust Him in 2023. Trust that He is directing your steps and making your path straight. Trusting His lead during your incline will guarantee success at the next level. Proverbs 3:5,6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
3. Equipped- As you rise, God will equip you with what you need in 2023. During this revelation, I saw a firefighter going up steps with heavy equipment on his back as he was in training. The Holy Spirit said, "It will feel uncomfortable and weighty, but it also builds your muscles and capacity to climb. Your pain today is preparing you for your purpose tomorrow." Hebrews 13:21 says, May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
4. Perseverance- You will need the perseverance to go higher. There will be moments when you will want to quit. Perseverance comes with discipline and commitment. The apostle Paul encourages us to run in such as way as to obtain the prize. Keeping our eyes focused on the author and perfecter of our faith.
5. Soar- In 2023, you will soar through the storms of life and go up to new levels in God. Like the eagle, use the opposing winds to rise; you will be able to see with more excellent vision. The deeper you go with God, the higher you will rise. Winston Churchhill wrote: "The farther back you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see."
Whether you're walking forward or up, keep your eyes fixed on God, who orders your steps. There is a call to go higher and deeper with God this new year. Will you accept the call and follow his lead? Let's Go HIGHER!
